Thank You!
Thank you for visiting the Northeastern New York NDWC Chapter homepage! The NDWD group of the Northeastern New York Club (centered in Albany/Capital District) is looking forward to 2010! After two successful initial get-to-know ou meetings last fall, we are looking to meet ever other month at a home of one of our members on a rotating basis. It has been a lot of fun to meet other ND Women that hadn't been active in our club before. We have about 20 folks on our NDWC group list so far, and we have such varing career and family stories, et lots of common ND feelings and experiences. We are looking to also do things together informally - such as "who wants to go hiking?" "there is a Writers Institute lecture next week - who'd like to go?". We have decided that we are going to start making micro-loans to other women through KIVA, selecting a person for our funds at each meeting. We've had lots of ideas on things to do- we definitely want a cooking demonstration from our member who is a Culinary Institute trained chef!... and who knows what else may develop?
Meanwhile, please go back to our alumnae chapter page and browse our other chapters to see what Alumnae across the country and around the world are doing. You can also check out our resources page or post something on our bulletin board to get connected!
